A nice day out with the kids, but what to do? Our escape room is the perfect outing for young and old. Together you solve the most difficult puzzles in the mysterious rooms in the cellars of the Arminius Church in the heart of Rotterdam. Come and play an escape room with the whole family!

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR AN ESCAPE ROOM?

Our escape rooms are suitable for children aged 12 and older. We have chosen this age limit because the puzzles are more suited to this age group. Furthermore, the escape rooms are not scary at all. They do not contain any jump scares or other horror-like elements. This allows you to focus completely on the puzzles together, making the escape room suitable for children.

GOING OUT AFTER YOUR ESCAPE ADVENTURE?

Whether before or after the escape room, you might have some time to spare in Rotterdam. Fortunately, there is plenty to do in the vicinity of our escape room. The Kunsthal, the Museumpark, Witte de Withstraat and the Koopgoot shopping centre are all within walking distance of the escape room. After your escape adventure, you can step right into the centre of Rotterdam and have a drink, eat, take in some culture or go shopping (if dad thinks it’s a good idea…).

You can also purchase a drinks package for €10 per person. This includes a drink and a delicious snack board. Perfect for chatting about your experience and evaluating what went well and what perhaps could have gone better.

Very nice room, the puzzles were well thought out. Reasonably difficult. Nice atmosphere too, especially the reception area, which was like an underground cellar bar under a church. The story was also well interwoven with local history! Recommended.

IS AN ESCAPE ROOM DIFFICULT?

We have two escape rooms, each with their own level of difficulty. La Residence is the most difficult escape room and L’Architecte is a little less complicated. If you are a family looking for an intellectual challenge and you enjoy working together, then be sure to play one or two of our escape rooms.
So yes, our escape rooms are challenging, but everyone has enough opportunity to solve them. And because family members know each other well and are aware of each other’s qualities and shortcomings, families and close friends have a better chance of getting out of the escape room than colleagues, for example.

HOW CAN I REACH DOCTOR WATSON'S ESCAPE ROOM?

Are you coming by car? The Museumpark car park is a four-minute walk from the escape room. What’s also nice is that parking in a city car park in Rotterdam is a lot cheaper than street parking.
