About Doctor Watsons

Doctor Watson described the stories of Sherlock Holmes that ultimately earned him his fame.

As a gentleman storyteller, Doctor Watson has continued the story of Sherlock and developed a new escape adventure, La Residence, in the beautiful Arminius Church in Rotterdam.

Dr. Watson is a refined storyteller and reporter. He takes the visitors of escape room Rotterdam along on his adventures. Adventures he has experienced before.

And you, you will experience them again, from beginning to end. You will experience it as “real”. This is partly due to the finish of our escape rooms. Every little detail has been thought of. Solve the mysteries together with your fellow players.

Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective from the stories of the late 19th-century, early 20th-century writer and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The character is now one of the most famous in the world. Holmes is best known for his intelligence and his ability to draw important conclusions from small, often seemingly insignificant clues.

Witte de Withstraat is one of the most famous streets in Rotterdam. It is the street for various activities, including restaurants, cafés, shops and national monuments. One of those monuments is the Arminiuskerk. The street was named after Witte Corneliszoon de With, a great Dutch admiral from the Golden Age. The street is known for its art gallery, which was opened in the 1990s as a remedy for the bad reputation that Witte de With street had at the time. At the end of this street is one of the Netherlands’ best escape rooms, called Doctor Watson’s. It was at this location that Doctor Watson would share his brilliant adventures with the rest of the world.

The Remonstrant Church, also known to many as the Arminius Church, is a beautiful monumental building located in the centre of Rotterdam. The building was constructed in the late 19^th century. It was the base for the Rotterdam Remonstrants and is named after the great Remonstrant, Jacob Arminius. Rumour has it that the elixir of life may have been brewed in this church. Evidence from the 20^th century shows that the last pastor of the church was on the trail of the Aqua da Vida. His room has remained inviolate to this day for those who dare to discover the truth…
